All aboard! The Graceful Ghost is touring Caddo Lake Tuesday through Friday at 12 pm, 2pm & 4 pm. On Saturdays the tours are 10 am, 12 pm, 2 pm and 4 pm, we also run a 7 pm tour on Saturdays providing we have 10 people or more. 7 pm has proved to be a very popular time so we suggest that you call ahead to make your reservation. We are so happy to be able to share Caddo Lake with the rest of the world from our steamboat. We can now boast that we are Coast Guard approved with a Certificate of Inspection and Letter of Stability, which allows us to carry 34 passengers. Bring your group and experience the wonderful mysteries of Caddo Lake. . .  you'll be glad you did! This is not just a tour . . . but much, much more! We have installed fans to make your tour more comfortable during the hot months.
We will still be running our pontoon boat for those who would prefer the more personal tour further into the bayous. We hope to see you soon and be able to show off all the wonders that Caddo Lake has to offer. So, come on down with your friends, your family or co-workers and let us give you a tour of Caddo Lake like no other.

Mystical images are indelibly imprinted on your mind as you glide amost silently
through Caddo Lake's many sloughs and waterways aboard the Graceful Ghost, a
replica of an 1800's era steamboat. The "Graceful Ghost" is a live steam driven
vessel with a working paddle-wheel and wood fired boiler. The sound of her steam
whistle will captivate you. Sit back and enjoy the ride as you watch the diverse
wildlife and the many species of aquatic plants inhabiting Caddo Lake. We will take
you on a timeless journey among majestic cypress trees draped in stately,
surreal, Spanish moss. Of course, to experience the most from Caddo Lake, you
should consider staying at one of the area bed and breakfasts on or near the lake.

Caddo Lake has been described in many ways, with "beautiful" being the most
widely used word. View our photo gallery and slide show to see a sample of the
beauty that Caddo Lake has to offer. Virtually everyone who has ever been to
Caddo lake will tell you that one word is not enough to describe this lake. Caddo
Lake is so much more! Mystifying and mystical, enchanting and delightful,
definitely prehistoric, uniquely haunting and eerie. The list of descriptions is long
and ever changing, as is Caddo Lake.

Caddo Lake is renowned for its sheer beauty and tranquillity.  The Graceful Ghost slips along the still water of Caddo Lake providing a most delightful cruise experience for all guests. Dallas Morning News journalist Steve Blow described it's  effect on him in an article for Dallas Magazine: There are plenty of pretty spots scattered about East Texas. Pretty and predictable. But one is mystical. Caddo Lake is unlike any place you have ever been. Caddo Lake is 35,000 acres of sloughs, bayous, swamp and cypress trees. 'A huge water forest', one friend described it.

"Yet - I swear it's true - there is something even beyond its eerie beauty. In the upper recesses of Caddo, you can feel the hand of the supernatural. It tickles at the back of your neck and draws your boat along. Something dark and primeval pervades Caddo. A timelessness. As you move slowly along the lake, you half expect a prehistoric creature to raise it's head from the murky water."
